Masterclass: Managing Social Media in Healthcare Environments

This event has now past, but there may well be news on the event including presentations and quotes from the day at our News pages here, a full list of our forthcoming events is available here.

No public facing organisation can be without a presence on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. But without a planned approach the risks can seem daunting and the benefits hard to actualise. The social media world is changing and experience in a variety of sectors (commercial, charity and government) provide case studies in the latest techniques in successful social media campaigning, governance and managing adverse incidents.

This masterclass provides an insightful overview of the lessons being learned by organisations savvy in the use of social media, and provides a clear framework by which participants can assess their governance structures, policy and practice in social media. Starting with an overview of the triumphs and problems in recent social media campaigns, it helps participants build a checklist to assess the soundness of their social media governance and practices, and approach future social media campaigns with confidence.
