Mental Health Awareness Week 8 – 14 May 2017

Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, this year for Mental Health Awareness Week (14-20 May), they are focusing on stress. Research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor in this.

By tackling stress, we can go a long way to tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and, in some instances, self-harm and suicide. The Mental Health Foundation will look at how they can tackle stress and help improve our mental health.

This year the Mental Health Foundation are going to look at mental health from a new angle. Rather than ask why so many people are living with mental health problems, they are looking to why too few of us are thriving with good mental health.
