This Conference is now Closed

Follow the conference on Twitter #PUFrailty

Older people living with frailty are at increased risk of developing pressure ulcers. This conference focuses on the complexities and practicalities of preventing and managing pressure ulcers in older people living with frailty. Through extended masterclasses and practical sessions the conference will examine how pressure ulcers and frailty can be effectively managed by the multidisciplinary team.

“The prevalence of pressure ulcers particularly in the frail older adult population continues to be high and very costly especially in those suffering from chronic diseases and has brought a higher awareness to comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic measures for treatment of pressure ulcers.”

An overview of co-morbidities and the development of pressure ulcers among older adults, BMC Geriatrics 2018
