Working in healthcare is stressful and can lead to psychological and moral distress. It is important that healthcare organisations have appropriate frameworks in place for the well-being and mental health of their staff. A poll by the charity Healthcare Workers’ Foundation found that 73% of NHS staff considered leaving in 2020/2021. 31% of clinical staff confirmed they are likely to leave within the next 12 months. 50% of staff would not recommend the NHS for others to join!
