“All patient and care records will be digital, real-time and interoperable by 2020. By 2018 clinicians in primary, urgent and emergency care and other key transitions of care contexts will be operating without needing to use paper records.” Personalised Health and Care 2020, National Information Board
This one day conference focuses on a practical guide to delivering intelligent electronic document management and becoming a paperless organisation. Following a national update from Prof Jonathan Kay, Clinical Informatics Director at The Royal College of Physicians, the conference will outline a number of different strategies for the implementation of EDM and look at key issues including the legal framework and information governance. Case study presentations will outline the challenges of rolling out EDM and provide tips and advice for realising the clinical benefits and how to engage clinical staff in EDM.
PLUS: a Free Pre Conference Supplier Showcase will be open to all and will include presentations from the key electronic document management systems suppliers.
