"We collect PROMs as they are a unique source of insight for both provider trusts and CCGs in that they shine a light on variation in the outcomes of surgery, as reported by patients themselves….You can use PROMs data to investigate outcomes reported by patients at individual trusts and compare these outcomes across several trusts. This data can also be used to identify variation in outcomes between a trust and the national average…Analysing this data allows provider trusts to investigate whether there are any patterns in their patients" outcomes.” NHS England October 2016

Developed in association with Mr Bibhas Roy Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, HICAT Member and PROMs 2.0 Lead this national conference will focus on PROMs in clinical practice; using case studies of PROMs changing clinical practice alongside expert sessions on subjects such as using PROMs for decision making, to change practice, and auditing and analysis of outlines.  There will also be national updates on the future of PROMs, a masterclass aimed at beginners to PROMs, an extended interactive session focusing on ePROMs, and another focusing on patient engagement and involvement in PROMs development.

We are opening part of the 2018 conference to abstracts; which we will assess for inclusion in the conference programme as an oral presentation or poster display.  The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday 18th May 2018 (we cannot accept any abstracts after this date).
