Clinical Audit: Learning from the CQC inspection
Dr Linda Patterson OBE FRCP Consultant Physician General and geriatric medicine & Chair of Inspection Team The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust discusses clinical Audit and learning from the CQC inspection on day one of today’s Clinical Audit for Improvement 2015 conference. Linda discussed:

Linda’s presentation described the CQC process of inspection across acute, community and mental health settings. The role of clinical audit in evaluating the effectiveness domain was also discussed. The methodology of ratings was presented and Linda also shared some personal observations of chairing inspection teams.
Dr Linda Patterson’s Biography:
Linda is a clinical practitioner (consultant physician) with a track record of creativity, strategic implementation, delivery and clinical excellence. Her experience covers collaborative working with stakeholders from public, private and voluntary sectors. She is committed to quality improvement for services to patients and the public. She has worked in both hospitals and community services, developing integrated care.
At present, Linda is a Non-Executive Director at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, as well as Chair of NHS England Patient Safety Medical Expert Group.
