Delivering a Digital Hospital

Dr Paul Altmann Chief Clinical Information Officer Oxford University Hospital
Dr Altmann stated that '1 million' represents the number of user triggered transactions in our system every day.  He continued by discussing why to become paperless; deliver compassionate support, support service improvement, meet never ending challenges of NHS reform.

Paul went on to discuss that moving to paperless will mean the end of memory based care, which can be dangerous. It's really important that this is clinically lead from the top of the organisation all the way down.  Also important to have a really good interface team.
