Implications of the Care Act 2014
Claire Crawley Senior Policy Manager, Adult Safeguarding at the Department of Health is confirmed to speak at the national ‘Adult Safeguarding Enquiries and Safeguarding Adults Reviews’ conference to be held in London on 23rd February 2016.
Claire will discuss the implications of the Care Act 2014 for adult safeguarding enquiries and reviews including; what the Act means in practice and what should now be in place, ensuring the adult is supported throughout the process, and meeting the six safeguarding principles which should be applied by SABs and their partner organisations to all reviews.
The CPD certified conference chaired by Mervyn Eastman Co Founder - Practitioner Alliance Against Abuse of Vulnerable Adults (PAVA) & Co-Director Change Agents Network will provide an important opportunity for delegates to seek clarification around the safeguarding enquiry and review process, and receive practical guidance for ensuring they are able to conduct a Safeguarding Adults Review in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
