Tommy Whitelaw speaks at Patient Experience Insight from the perspective of carer. Tommy cares for his mother who had dementia. 

Tommy's presentaion at today's Patient Experience Insight conference provided valuable first person experience.

Tommy currently has his own blog where he talks about dementia and carers – He's currently touring the country doing hundreds of talks to raise awareness about carers and their difficulties, and his experiences with his mum’s dementia.  He has heen heart wrenching to listen to, he is an amazing and inspirational speaker.

Tommy receives messages from carers all over the world and he helps them, gives advice, empathises.  He set up his blog as a way of getting support he felt was lacking, now has thousands of followers and messages.
