Realising the Clinical Benefits and engaging Clinical Staff in Electronic Document Management to be presented at National Conference

Mark England Director of IM&T at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will be presenting ‘Realising the Clinical Benefits and engaging Clinical Staff in Electronic Document Management’ at the Electronic Document Management in Healthcare conference on Wednesday 9 December 2015 at ICO Conference Centre, London.

Mark will share his experiences of identifying risk appetite and communicating the clinical, patient safety and time saving benefits, should clinicians be forced to give up paper even if they don’t want to and Luton and Dunstable’s approach to intelligent EDM. Is it an ePR? Can it ever be?

Following NHS England’s commitment to a paperless NHS, this one day conference focuses on a practical guide to delivering intelligent electronic document management in your organisation. The delivery of clinical care is no longer from a single place with a single record location but from multiple sites (including the patients own home) and the electronic record needs to be available in these multiple sites to improve patient care and aid clinical decision making in real time.

“All NHS funded care services are expected to have digital and interoperable systems that remove the limitations of paper records and slow bureaucratic systems by 2020.” 13th November 2014, Department of Health
