Sean Collins Adult Safeguarding Lead to present safeguarding alerts: escalating safeguarding concerns and complaints at National Conference
Sean Collins Adult Safeguarding Lead at North Bristol NHS Trust will be presenting ‘Safeguarding Alerts: Escalating safeguarding concerns and complaints’ at the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults conference on Tuesday 1 December 2015 at Hallam Conference Centre, London.
Sean will share his experiences of escalating and acting on safeguarding complaints, concerns and incidents, implementing safeguarding alerts in hospitals, recognising patterns of abuse: learning from Winterbourne and working in partnership to minimise risk.
This conference focuses on safeguarding vulnerable adults – improving safeguarding practice, decision making and delivering a person centred outcome focused approach. Sessions will focus on national updates since the Care Act 2014 implementation, moving forward with making safeguarding personal, a legal session which will look at legal developments in safeguarding. The conference will continue with practical case studies on critical issues such as criteria for intervention, escalating concerns and complaints, undertaking a safeguarding enquiry under section 42, information sharing and working in partnership with the police on serious concerns and criminal offences.
