The Quality Network for Perinatal Mental Health Services was established in 2007 and is part of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Centre for Quality Improvement. The network’s members are inpatient and community perinatal mental health services throughout the UK. The network develops service standards describing a good service and members are reviewed against these standards through a process of self and peer-review. Services meeting enough of the standards can also apply to be accredited. The network also provides a number of national events and opportunities for services to meet and share best practice.
