Teresa Kearney’s Biography:

Teresa joined SEPT in 2008 as Director of Primary Care Development.  She has 35 years of experience working within the NHS, 22 years of which have been based within primary care. She has worked both as a clinician and in clinical leadership roles at local regional and national levels and has led on service development and pathway redesign

Her areas of expertise are Primary care, clinical leadership, service, pathway   redesign, equalities and service development. She has practical experience in developing and leading innovative services and extensive knowledge in understanding from both the strategic and operational perspective.

Nationally Teresa has various project groups at the Department of Health.  This has included non-medical prescribing, inequalities, leadership and connecting for Health.  She is also a recognised speaker on these subjects.

With a proven track record in terms of clinical leadership, Teresa has an enabling approach which encourages clinicians from all disciplines to grow and develop taking managed risks in order to develop and deliver new models of care.  This often puts patients and clinicians in the forefront of services

Teresa’s portfolio includes physical healthcare, Non-medical Prescribing, Director of Infection Prevention and Control, leads on the physical health and wellbeing of patients across SEPT.
