Living with Chronic and Complex UTIs - an Antibiotic Research UK conference

This Conference is now Closed

Follow the conference on X #AntibioticResearchUK

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the frequent infections seen in clinical practice worldwide, and comprise a major personal and societal health burden across all populations, with a particularly high impact on older women. Yet fast, accurate diagnosis and curative treatment proves elusive for many patients, particularly those affected by chronic and complex UTIs. Antibiotic Research UK deals directly with people affected by chronic and complex UTIs – nearly 60% of contacts and enquiries to its Patient Support Service relate to UTIs.

The charity is holding this conference to help, support and inform all those involved in UTIs, whether personally affected or working in research or healthcare. Antimicrobial resistance plays a significant role in acquiring and treating UTIs, and this major conference brings together clinical/research experts in the UTI field, with compelling, insightful and informative personal, patient experience of UTIs, to understand more about what needs to be done to tackle the national and international challenge of chronic/complex UTIs.

Delegates will hear from leading speakers at the forefront research and clinical practice, with expert, personal testimony from those who live with the reality of chronic and complex UTIs.

The conference will include patient testimonials and talks by Dr Catriona Anderson, Dr Gail Hayward, Dr Melissa Haines and Professor Jennifer Rohn.

Hosted in the wonderful Wellcome Collection building on Euston Road, London, a short walk from Euston and Kings Cross mainline stations (and also available in hybrid virtual format), join us to be part of the conversation, and help find a solution to fast and effective diagnosis and treatment of chronic and complex UTIs.

Student/Patient Tickets: We look forward to welcoming and learning from students and patients, a subsidised ticket of £10.00 is available.

Unable to attend the full day? Don’t worry. This virtual conference will be recorded, giving you the flexibility to dip in and out throughout the day and catch up with anything you miss later. Find out more about virtual attendance.
