  • I worked clinically as a specialist speech and language therapist in older persons mental health from 1994 until 2017. Prior to that I held a research post at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

  • Completed PhD in 2016 – a mixed methods RCT looking at a CBT intervention for carers of people with dementia and communication difficulties

  • Head of Improvement at the Academy of Research and Improvement since 2017

  • My role includes overseeing our library and knowledge service, clinical audit and service evaluation programme, virtual workshops, Quality Improvement and researcher development programme.

  • I regularly review research grant applications and submissions to peer reviewed journals.

  • I have experience of publishing in a broad range of media
