The annual conference of the Association of Anaesthesia Associates will take place in Norwich on the Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th October 2024.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS OPEN: In addition to workshops on day 1 and presentations from invited speakers on day 2, part of the 2024 conference is opening for poster presentations. For full details and how to submit please click here.

Day 1 consists of hands-on workshops particularly targeted at student AAs. Plus, a workshop on Good Medical Practice, familiarising AAs with these important professional standards. There will be ample opportunity to network with UK AAs and students. Day 1 will close with our AGM.

Day 2 will be our main conference day with sessions on human factors, AI in healthcare and updates from the GMC - how an AA can join the GMC register. Further updates from NHSE and the RCoA. Early bird booking rates, special rates for AAA members, and easy cost of living payment schedules are available so book early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to welcoming you all to Norwich 2024!

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare

  • Countdown to AA regulation - GMC/NHSE

  • Obesity and Anaesthesia

Conference Prices
Early bird prices are available until 31st May 2024.

  • Members 2 Day £162 (£180 after 31.05.24) / 1 Day £90 (£100 after 31.05.24)

  • Student Members 2 Day £117 (£150 after 31.05.24) / 1 Day £63 (£90 after 31.05.24)

  • Non Members / Student AA, Qualified AA's, Doctors, Nurses, AHP's 2 Day £189 (£210 after 31.05.24) / 1 Day £112 (£125 after 31.05.24)

All member bookings will be checked against AAA membership. Please do check your membership or contact us to become a member. Student places are limited. The student member rate will be available until 31st August only, after this time student members will be able to book at the member rate. 

We are unable to offer any refund for cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event.

Thursday Dinner
We would like to invite you to attend a 3 course dinner at the conference venue on the Thursday. Tickets are £45 per person.

The Association of Anaesthesia Associates aims to ensure the highest standards of patient care by supporting, educating and updating AAs via our annual conference. This event brings together national stakeholders pivotal in the development of the AA profession. The Association continues to represent our profession at all levels of engagement, we value this yearly event to network with our peers and guide our Association.
