This conference focuses on reducing length of stay and improving outcomes for Hip Replacement with an extended in depth look at moving to Day Case Hip Replacement.

“More joint replacements than ever before were carried out in the year, with over 252,250 cases submitted to the NJR; this equates to c. 10,000 additional joint replacement operations than recorded in the previous annual period…During 2017, 91,698 hip replacements were entered into the NJR.”

National Joint Registry September 2018

“By potentially being more effective, cheaper than and as safe as inpatient arthroplasty, day-case arthroplasty may be beneficial for some patients and healthcare systems. Proper patient selection and education, multimodal-based protocols and a well-defined clinical pathway are key to successful day-case TJA.”
