A Joint BAPIO & HCUK Conference

This day will explore what clinical governance means for front line clinicians. Based on experiential learning techniques, drawing on live case studies and shared experiences of the participants, we look at challenges that colleagues working in healthcare settings encounter as part of their journey into patient safety and overall clinical governance and what needs to happen to make the system safer for the staff and the patients.

Working in partnership, this day draws on expertise from the healthcare leaders and front line clinicians from BAPIO. It is grounded in principles of clinical governance which will be brought to life by the diverse experience and skills of the delivery team.

This session is designed to help you develop practical understanding of clinical governance and skills to apply in your day to day practice and how to apply good leadership skills and behaviours in every day work.

The conference is open to anyone working in a health care setting who is involved in leadership role or providing care to patients.

“Clinical governance is the system through which NHS organisations are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which clinical excellence will flourish.Clinical governance encompasses quality assurance, quality improvement and risk and incident management.”
