Staff wellbeing must be at heart of the pandemic recovery

Supporting the health and wellbeing of staff has been identified by NHS England as a top priority as it sets out its Covid-19 recovery plan "Our people need to be at the heart of plans for recovery and transformation and those plans should reflect the need for staff to get the support, rest and recuperation that they need"

Published on 25th March 2021, the NHS Operational Planning Guidance states that NHS staff “By supporting staff recovery, their health and wellbeing and improving workforce supply we can restore services in a sustainable way”. It added that "Occupational health and wellbeing support should be available to all staff, including rapid access to psychological and specialist support." Continue reading here
