This session, ideal for anybody who manages or leads a team, will enable attendees to learn how to be more confident when having performance related conversations. Also to know how to diagnose causes of underperformance.

By the end of the session you will be able to;

  • Practise setting goals and objectives which can be used as performance measures

  • Recognise how mind-set/internal dialogue can affect the conversation and identify strategies to manage these

  • Know how to diagnose causes of underperformance so that the best remedial action is taken

  • Be able to effectively prepare, structure and deliver an underperformance conversation knowing the best vocabulary to use (and what to avoid)

  • Be aware of the behavioural expectations of managers in these situations and explore how to adapt appropriately
