Facilitated by Dr Kate Silvester, this is the first in a series of five half day virtual workshops, designed to introduce delegates to the skills for improving flow through Outpatient clinics and services. Delegates will leave with a combination of theory, practical exercises and examples so that they can ‘give it a go’ in their own service. All Outpatient service managers and staff should attend.
This first masterclass concentrates on tackling the queues in an Outpatient clinic. How do we make the Outpatient waiting areas COVID-safe for patients and staff? The following four workshops in this series will cover: the ‘Data Trap’; tackling the backlog of queues for clinics; how we work out the demand for Follow-up; and systems thinking - what happens to demand for services downstream?
Key Learning Objectives:
• mapping and measuring patient flow through a clinic
• diagnosing the cause of the queue using a Gantt Chart
• using the Gantt chart to re-model the flow and eliminate the queue
Discount for attending all five half day Outpatient masterclasses: £195+ VAT per masterclass or, £750+VAT for all five.
