“As a CNIO, I see how digital innovation transforms nursing and midwifery—reducing admin burden, enhancing communication, and enabling flexible growth. Yet we must address screen fatigue, overload, and constant change. True progress means co-designing intuitive, empowering systems that uphold compassionate care making technology a partner in wellbeing, not a barrier”

Frances Beadle, Chief Nursing Information Officer Digital Health and Care Wales

Technology, Wellbeing and Patient Safety 11.00-12.00

Safer care is achieved when people, culture, and technology work together. Supporting staff wellbeing, leveraging digital insights, and enabling collaboration across sectors creates a proactive, preventative approach to patient safety.

In this insightful panel session, experts from Radar Healthcare will discuss how workforce wellbeing, digital systems and collaborative cultures are shaping patient safety today, and what it takes to empower nurses with the right technology and support.

Discussion topics will include:

  • People – how caring for a workforce supports safer patient care

  • Technology - supporting safer care and open learning cultures. Moving from “what went wrong” to “what could go wrong.”  How transparency through data visibility fosters psychological safety, and helps organisations move away from blame toward continuous learning

  • Collaboration – Learning across teams, sites, and sector, and how digital platforms, sharing challenges and collaboration are strengthening safety cultures

nullCavell is the UK charity here for nurses and midwives during times of personal or financial crisis, providing support and resources to improve financial wellbeing, mental health and empower those seeking help.
