The 10 Year plan for health highlights the importance of the effective use of patient feedback putting patient experience as a key determinant of quality and performance. This timely conference will focus on measuring, understanding and acting on real time patient experience insight, and demonstrating responsiveness to that insight to ensure patient feedback is translated into quality improvement and assurance. Through national updates and case study presentations the conference will support you to measure, monitor and improve patient experience in your service, and ensure that insight leads to improvement. The conference will discuss current developments in patient experience as outlined in the forthcoming NHS Quality Strategy, and the use of AI in analysing patient experience as discussed in the 10 year plan for health:
“To ensure the NHS can and does act on feedback, we will store it and deploy AI to help translate it into actions for managers and clinicians.”

“Improving experience of care will be a central feature of the Quality Strategy, due to be published in 2026.”
Medium term planning framework - delivering change together 2026/27 to 2028/29, NHS England 2025
“Every interaction and touch point with the healthcare system has an impact on an individual’s experience.”
NHS England, Experience of Care Week 2026
“The NHS does not take patient feedback seriously enough. We can only improve if we know what is working well and what is working less well. Though many providers already have their own feedback systems, comments or complaints often receive a formulaic response from someone who is far removed from the frontline. This feedback is too rarely aggregated and translated into quality improvement actions.”
