This one day virtual masterclass, facilitated by Mr Perbinder Grewal, will focus on how to deal with Burnout and the COVID pandemic.

In 2019 the World Health Organization included burnout in its International Classification of Diseases, describing it as “a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.” Finally there was acknowledgement that burnout is more than just an employee problem; it’s an organisational problem that requires an organisational solution.

Perbinder Grewal is a General & Vascular Surgeon and Human Factors Trainer.
He is a human factors and patient safety trainer; leads on medical education both locally and nationally; is a Member of the Faculty of SurgicalTrainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; has a passion for training and medical education; is a Module Tutor for theChM in Vascular Surgery for the University of Edinburgh and Tutor for the ChM in General Surgery for the past 5 years; has Postgraduate Certificates in Leadership and Coaching.

Feedback for Mr Grewal: “We first saw Perbinder present at the Clinical Audit for Improvement course in March, when we saw he was presenting the Human Factors training last week we booked on immediately and encouraged the rest of our team to attend because we knew it would be a great day. He has become our human factors hero in the quality team, our new motto is ‘Be more Perbinder’! Thank you Perbinder for being so enthusiastic and engaging, your energy is infectious! Highly Recommend *****”
