Jes opened today’s conference and gave a really personal account of her experience of Sepsis. In 2016 at the age of 21 she developed Sepsis which has started with a chest infection. She talked about how we are our own advocate and the knowledge of long Sepsis is so important for patients to understand. Jes spoke powerfully from a lived experience perspective and our Chair Andrew Brent agreed how important it is to keep the patient at the centre of care.
