Measuring, Understanding and Acting on Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMS)

Neil Churchill Director of Patient Experience at NHS England is confirmed to speak at the national ‘Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMS)’ CPD certified conference due to take place in London on 11th May 2016.

Neil will give an opening presentation on improving patient experience and experiences of care looking at achieving improvements across the major national clinical priorities: cancer, learning disability, mental health, and diabetes, and learning from the Vanguard sites.

Chaired by Chris Graham Director of Research and Policy Picker Europe the conference will focus on measuring, understanding and acting on Patient Reported Experience Measures, and demonstrating responsiveness to insight to improve care.  Case study speakers will offer practical guidance for measuring, monitoring and improving patient experience in practice, and making changes as a result of feedback.

In his role Neil leads improvement on non-clinical aspects of quality. His brief includes NHS England’s Commitments to Carers, improving experience for people with cancer, working with users of learning disability services to improve quality, enhancing staff experience and learning from complaints and whistleblowers. Neil was an appointed member of the National Information Governance Board which published ‘Improving experiences of care: Our shared understanding and ambition.’
