The Department of Health and Social Care has published new NHS League tables, which will drive up standards; tackling variation in care and delivering meaningful outcomes, greater efficiency and value for patients. Every Trust in England will be ranked quarterly against new standards, top-performing trusts will be rewarded with greater freedoms and investment, while underperforming trusts will receive targeted support to drive improvement and their senior leaders will be held accountable through performance-linked pay.
"These league tables will identify where urgent support is needed and allow high-performing areas to share best practises with others, taking the best of the NHS to the rest of the NHS."
